Reaction Turbine (150W) Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : SCL-CELE-14190
Overview
The Reaction Turbine Test Apparatus is
a compact, compressed-air-operated trainer designed to study the characteristic
behavior of a radial reaction turbine. The unit demonstrates the conversion
of pressure energy into kinetic energy within the rotor — a principle
fundamental to the operation of steam and hydraulic reaction turbines.
Air acts as the working medium and flows
through four nozzle-shaped rotor exits, expanding and accelerating as it
passes through. The resulting air jet imparts a reaction force on the
turbine rotor, setting it into motion according to Newton’s third law of
motion. The apparatus is housed within a transparent chamber, allowing
clear observation of turbine operation.
The turbine load is applied using a band
brake connected to a force sensor for torque measurement. Speed
is measured via an optical speed sensor, while inlet and outlet
pressures are displayed on precision manometers. The system includes a rotameter
to measure volumetric airflow rate and an air preparation unit for
pressure regulation.
The apparatus is also equipped with a quick-action
stop valve for overspeed protection and a cooling system for the brake
drum, ensuring safe and continuous operation. A digital display unit
provides real-time readouts of torque, speed, and temperature.
