(Optional): An electric superheater can be added to increase
the steam temperature.
2. Turbine and Power Generation
- Turbine
Type: Single stage impulse turbine with a single
nozzle.
- Power
Output (Mechanical/Electrical):
- Without
Superheater: Mechanical approximately 10 W,
Electrical approximately 4 W.
- With
Superheater (Optional): Mechanical approximately 15
W, Electrical approximately 6 W.
- Power
Measurement:
- Mechanical:
Measured by a mechanical brake dynamometer.
- Electrical:
Measured by a DC generator connected via a belt, with a resistive
load.
3. Condenser and Circulation
- Condenser: Shell
and tube type, cooled by an external water supply.
- Condensate
Collection: Condensate is collected in a graduated beaker
(measured with a stop watch) and returned to the feed water tank by an electric
condensate transfer pump.
