Pumps Comparison Apparatus Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : SCL-CELE-14197
Overview
The Pump Comparison Apparatus is
designed for the investigation and comparison of the operating behavior
of different types of pumps — namely centrifugal, piston, and side-channel
pumps.
It provides students with hands-on experience in understanding the functional
differences, performance characteristics, and efficiency of various pump
designs commonly used in engineering applications.
The unit consists of:
- Two centrifugal pumps,
- One piston pump (positive-displacement type), and
- One self-priming side-channel pump.
Each pump is individually driven by a
three-phase AC motor, with the centrifugal pumps featuring variable
speed control via a frequency converter. The side-channel pump offers a
unique hybrid operation, functioning both as a centrifugal and positive
displacement pump, and can even pump gases, making it suitable for
demonstrating multi-phase flow principles.
A closed water circuit allows safe and
continuous operation.
Torque, pressure, and flow measurements are collected via sensors, displayed
digitally, and can be recorded on a PC using the included USB data
acquisition software. This enables real-time analysis, plotting of pump
and system characteristic curves, and determination of operating points
and efficiencies.
A free motor position with a
reversible, variable-speed AC motor is provided for testing additional pump
types.
