Reynold's Apparatus Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : SCL-CELE-14090
The described apparatus is a classic educational unit
designed to experimentally verify Reynolds's demonstration of fluid flow
regimes, a cornerstone of fluid mechanics. The setup facilitates the
visualization and quantification of the transition between laminar flow
and turbulent flow. Water is drawn from a Constant Head Tank
through a glass tube, controlled by a cock at the exit. The flow rate is
precisely measured using a measuring cylinder and a stopwatch.
Critically, a centralized capillary tube introduces a dye streak at the bell
mouth entrance, allowing for visual observation of the dye's behavior to
identify the flow type. This empirical observation enables the direct
calculation of the dimensionless Reynolds Number (Re), which dictates
the flow regime.
