Pressure Losses in Bends Apparatus

Product Code : SCL-CELE-14117

The Pressure Loss in Bends and Fittings Apparatus is designed to study pressure losses (minor losses) that occur across various bends and fittings in a typical pipe system. This study is crucial for understanding the loss of head and the consequential pumping power requirements in any pipe network.

The apparatus features a robust vertical frame, mounted on wheels, which supports various study devices, including different bends and fittings. All devices are equipped with upstream and downstream pressure tapings to accurately measure the pressure drop. These tapings are connected to a multi-tube water manometer for differential pressure measurement. The flow rate is controlled by a gate valve at the downstream end, and water is supplied by an external source, such as a Hydraulic Bench.
