Permeability Tank Apparatusaratus Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : SCL-CELE-14152
Description
The Permeability Tank Apparatus is a
precision-engineered, two-dimensional model used to study seepage and flow
through permeable media. It is designed for laboratory investigation of
fundamental hydrogeological and civil engineering principles such as Darcy’s
Law, flow through dams and foundations, and seepage beneath
structures.
The apparatus consists of a framed glass
tank mounted on a fabricated steel frame fitted with castors and
leveling feet for easy mobility and stability. The front, back, and end
panels are made of scratch-resistant toughened glass, providing
exceptional clarity and durability during long-term use.
Fourteen pressure tapping points, connected to
a multi-tube manometer, allow accurate measurement of the hydraulic
gradient. A dye injection system helps visualize flow paths, enabling
clear observation of flow nets and seepage patterns.
Adjustable inlet and outlet headers, a centrifugal
pump with variable speed control, and optional computer-based data
acquisition provide high flexibility for both teaching and research.
