Particle Drag Coefficient Apparatus Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India

Particle Drag Coefficient Apparatus

Product Code : SCL-CELE-14140

I. Overview and Purpose

This apparatus is designed to enhance student understanding and practical study of two fundamental concepts in fluid mechanics :

  1. Liquid Viscosity
  2. Particle Drag Coefficient

II. Apparatus Description

The unit features two precision bore glass tubes mounted vertically on a wall-mounting frame.

  • Visualization A back light source using three LED tube lights is provided behind a milky white acrylic panel.1 This ensures easy and clear visualization of the sphere or particle as it falls through the liquid.
  • Operation Students place a test sphere or particle onto the top of the tube, allow it to fall freely through the liquid, and use a stopwatch to measure the time taken to traverse a specified distance.
  • Recovery A simple valve system is located at the bottom of the tube, allowing for easy removal and recovery of the falling sphere or particle after each test.
